So without further ado, here’s what we’re reading Friday August 16, 2013.

We here at Eagle Rising have been pretty vocal about our opposition to the NSA snooping program that has clearly been violating our Fourth Amendment rights since 2006. Of course we on the right do not have a consensus opinion about the legality of the NSA’s work… but maybe we can change some of your minds with this newest report from CNN and the Washington Post. It seems that an internal audit of their program found that the NSA violated privacy rights THOUSANDS of times since 2006. THOUSANDS OF TIMES. Are there still people out there who aren’t attached to Obama’s backside and are still defending the NSA?

hiscrimeEgypt is crumbling and a lot of people are dying – maybe we should have never gotten involved? In case you were wondering it’s the Islamists who were in charge against the new government that was installed by the military… and both sides are mad at us.

Wow. Chris Christie (R-NJ) keeps attacking his enemies… too bad they’re all Republican.

Our government is giving Planned Parenthood a lot of money to push Obamacare to it’s customers.

Some parents wonder if their children’s school was trying to make sure it met Madrassa standards by banning pork products.

In a bit of delicious irony, the ACLU is in the middle of a big spat with its own workers union.

New Zealand was hit by another big earthquake.
