Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) was a guest on Fox News’ Hannity with Sean Hannity on Tuesday evening to discuss the lies and half-truths that were told to ensure passage of the Obamacare law.
Senator Paul believes that the many comments made by Jonathan Gruber about the lies used to sell Obamacare are proof enough to force him to return the money he received as payment for his work on Obamacare. He called the fact that Gruber made almost $6 Million from federal and state government agencies “a disgrace” and insisted that Congress should investigate every dollar paid to Gruber by the government. Paul also believes that Congress will be able to use the appropriations process to weaken (and eventually destroy) Obamacare, but also to work against the President’s immigration (and amnesty) plans.
Senator Paul wasn’t the only guest on Hannity last night; he also had Jonathan Gruber himself on… though Gruber didn’t seem very happy to be on camera. Fox News correspondent David Webb was at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he confronted the erstwhile “Obamacare architect” about the many comments that he’s made insinuating lies and cover-ups to get the law passed.
“You’ve had lots to say to the media. How about talking to us?” Webb asked as he walked alongside Gruber on the MIT campus.
“No, thank you.” Gruber replied, repeatedly saying that he had “no comment.”
“Do you think the American people would have actually bought into ObamaCare without all the deception?” Webb asked.
“If you’re telling the truth, why are you apologizing as you did for being honest about what was done to get ObamaCare passed?”
“Do you really think the American voters are stupid?” Webb pressed, getting another “no comment” in return.
“What about ObamaCare? Is that just a hoax on the American people?”
At that point, Gruber continued walking away without answering.
