Technically Maine Senator Angus King is an Independent. He’s honestly a squishy moderate who tends to lean LEFT. If he were Republican he’d be king of the RINO caucus… but he’s not Republican, and this interview he just gave yesterday with Fox and Friends shows you why.
The hosts bring up the recently exposed video of Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber advocating for lying to the American voters to get their legislation passed and wonders what Senator King thinks about this… to which Senator King surprises everyone and blames the Fox hosts.
KILMEADE: They just lied about a health plan to the American people, called the stupidity of the American voter and bragged about the lack of transparency.
KING: This is one guy. I don’t know who this guy was. All I know is that it’s important for people to have health insurance. And if you guys are saying people shouldn’t have health insurance, I don’t know where you’re coming from.
GUILFOYLE: That’s not what we’re saying, sir.
KING: Are you that cruel?
First, can I just handle the ad hominem that Senator King tosses out there? Are you saying people shouldn’t have health insurance…? The Fox and Friends hosts said nothing of the sort… but King knows he’s in trouble here, so he responds by attacking their character and pretending they want people to die without health care. It’s cowardice, pure and simple.
More importantly though, if you look at what Gruber said and how King responds, they totally agree. They just say it differently.
Gruber says, … “We could make it all transparent, but I’d rather have this law than not.”
King says, “All I know is that it’s important for people to have health insurance.”
Get that, fellow Americans? Here’s one of your Senators telling you that the ends justifies the means. Once again, this is the current liberal philosophy of governing. If it takes lying, cheating and stealing… so be it.
