Are Libertarians Playing “Spoiler” to Republicans in Elections?

Fox Business News’ John Stossel made an appearance this past week on Varney and Co. when guest host David Asman asked him if libertarians were “playing spoiler” for Republicans in these elections.

The libertarian journalist responded, “Look, we vote for liberty. Republicans often want to take our liberty. I’m not going to say that it’s terrible to run and hurt a Republican.”

While many Republicans may find themselves frustrated by libertarian voting decisions, we should remember that the best way to solve the libertarian problem may be by coopting more of the libertarian platform. Smaller government, lower taxes, less spending… and most of all MORE LIBERTY. Get the government out of the way and we’ll see more libertarian voters voting Republican.
