America Could Learn from Australia about Border Security

The Australian government is currently running a campaign to discourage illegal immigrants from attempting to reach their shores by boat. The campaign is clear, concise and goes directly to the heart of the matter. The Australian government wants those immigrants to know that the human traffickers are lying to them – they will not abide illegal immigration and ANYONE caught having sneaked into the country illegally will be deported through an off island processing center. Human traffickers are lying to desperate people, and the result is a horrible humanitarian crisis – not just in the USA but all over the world. Being obstinately rigid with your illegal immigration policy is the BEST way to save lives. If these immigrants understand that they will not be allowed to say, fewer of them will attempt the trip and lives will be SAVED.

Border Security isn’t about being heartless; it’s about saving lives – ours and theirs.
