We hope you’re having a great day wherever you are and that the news we dig up for you this morning helps you navigate the day more efficiently!
It’s a busy world out there, and you don’t have a ton of free time to be doing Internet searches for the most important items of the day… lucky for you, we do. We drink gallons of coffee in an effort to stay awake long enough to scour the far reaches of the world wide web in an effort to bring you the most important, useful and useless information every single day.
So without further ado, here’s what we’re reading Saturday June 14, 2014.
Will the GOP be stupid enough to replace Eric Cantor (R-VA) with Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) as House Majority leader? If they do, it will be more proof that they don’t care about the conservatives in their party and would prefer to continue their “business as usual” cronyism.
Conservatives are partially to blame for losing the opportunity to defeat McCarthy.
Senator John McCain is not happy with President Obama. He blames Obama for the mess in Iraq… but isn’t that exactly what Americans asked for when they picked Obama over McCain?
Um, what? Iran has become so worried about the instability in Iraq that they are offering to partner with us to put down the terrorist threat and maintain peace in the region.
The federal government is begging local authorities to keep their mouths closed about all of the surveillance going on. “The Obama administration has been quietly advising local police not to disclose details about surveillance technology they are using to sweep up basic cellphone data from entire neighborhoods.”
Senator Thad Cochran (R-MS) is so “with it” that he had absolutely no idea that Eric Cantor just lost his primary battle.
Jake Tapper is very, very punny…. Er, I mean “funny.”
Jimmy Fallon and Chris Christie bring us “The Evolution of Dad Dancing.” And it is glorious.
