The Republican National Committee is out with a new ad that shows President Obama has spent most of the last few years very angry about things. Sadly, most of what he has been angry about are things that he had the power to change… or that he at least told people he had the power to change. From the Fast and Furious Scandal to the Benghazi Scandal to the Secret Service Scandal to the GAO Scandal to the Justice Department Scandal to the VA Scandal… he has been angry often.
But the fact of the matter is… he only has himself to be angry with.
This issue of constantly being angry for things that happen in his administration seems to go hand in hand with his constant lack of knowledge about the outside world.
I mean, we’ve all heard of “plausible deniability,” but the Obama administration takes things to a whole new level. They apparently don’t tell President Obama anything… EVER. At least, that seems to be what they want us to believe.
Have you noticed just how many things the President didn’t know about until the rest of us knew about it? It’s pretty amazing… and terrifying, really.
Check out this Jon Stewart bit on the subject of the President never knowing anything from last year (it starts getting good about the 2:10 mark).
Stewart may need to update this piece after the latest scandal to break at the VA. The Obama administration trotted out the well-worn excuse once again when asked how long they’d known about the problems at VA hospitals.
These two issues – anger and ignorance – seem to go hand in hand. All of these problems within his administration are happening directly under his nose but he seems to know nothing about them, which makes him upset. It’s all a lie of course. If the President were truly angry at all of these developments he would have cleaned house a long time ago. Why hasn’t he fired Eric Holder who oversaw the scandals at the Justice Department? Why hasn’t he fired General Shinseki who is in charge of the VA? Why didn’t he fire James Clapper who ran the NSA after he realized Clapper lied to Congress?
The truth is that Obama isn’t angry at the right things.
He’s not angry at the scandals that are occurring under his watch. He’s angry that his minions are getting caught in the scandals. And that is a BIG difference…
