The Police Stop Snooping on Muslims

The NYPD has dropped its surveillance program.  It has stopped sending plain clothes policemen into Muslim communities.

Bill Bratton, who once had the courage and forthrightness to work for Rudy Giuliani, disbanded the Muslim infiltration unit.

Mayor de Blasio, softie of softies, king of the liberals and self-progressive-promotion, said, “Our administration has promised the people of New York a police force that keeps our city safe, but that is also respectful and fair.”  Since when was “respectful and fair” in the job description of the police force.  I thought a cop’s job was to keep us safe.  It’s a priest’s job or ancillary attitude to be “respectful and fair.”

I’d rather be protected by a cop than a priest. De Blasio is once again letting his ideology interfere with the functioning of a safe city. He holds his brain in one hand and the city in the other.  Never do the twain meet.  He is a far distance from pragmatism.

De Blassio then went on to say, “This reform is a critical step forward in easing tensions between the police and the communities they serve, so that our cops and our citizens can help one another go after the real bad guys.”

Gee, de Blasio, I thought the real bad guys were the terrorists and the armed men we failed to stop and frisk.  Most of the terrorism throughout the world has been conducted by Muslims.  So you want to stop following them so that we can have better relations with the people who want to kill us.

Bratton, under de Blassio’s reign, has become a fool himself.  And the butt end of this joke is that more innocent people will die in the streets while de Blassio pats himself on the back for the police getting along better with evil doers.

Respectful and fair become disrespectful and unfair when they lead to inflated terrorism and cowardice by failing to defend ourselves.
