We hope you’re having a great day wherever you are and that the news we dig up for you this morning helps you navigate the day more efficiently!
It’s a busy world out there, and you don’t have a ton of free time to be doing Internet searches for the most important items of the day… lucky for you, we do. We drink gallons of coffee in an effort to stay awake long enough to scour the far reaches of the world wide web in an effort to bring you the most important, useful and useless information every single day.
So without further ado, here’s what we’re reading Saturday February 22, 2014.
A wonderful man who changed the lives of many children (including me) was killed in a car accident yesterday. Jeff Novak was a volunteer with First Baptist Church of New Port Richey, FL – on Friday he was driving a van full of students from their youth group to a winter camp when a tire on the van blew out causing the van to lose control. Jeff and another adult were killed, eight children were injured.
Jeff had spent his adult life working to reach kids with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and he impacted hundreds of children along the way. 20 years ago Jeff was vital in teaching me that love means service and the best way to show others you care is through action. Jeff Novak was one of the most selfless and caring human beings I have ever known and he will be sorely missed.
The Eagle Rising family sends our love, prayers and hugs to the entire Novak family – Laura, Jeff’s wife, and their kids Josh, Abigail, David and Caleb.
We must fight for EVERYONE’S religious freedom.
Obama doesn’t do anything on schedule…
That plan to plant government monitors in newsrooms that Obama recently floated? Apparently it was pushed by Universities who’d received almost $2 Million from liberal scion George Soros. Ah, now we get it.
