According to police record, a Florida man who once claimed to be a neo-Nazi (but then converted to Islam) killed his roommates after they “disrespected” his new Islamic faith. His roommates were also neo-Nazi, but he turned on them after his conversion.
His roommates were identified as 18-year-old Andrew Oneschuk, and 22-year-old Jeremy Himmelman.
Devon Arthurs told investigators he shot Jeremy Himmelman, 22, and Andrew Oneschuk, 18, because he had become angry about the world’s anti-Muslim sentiment and “wanted to bring attention to his cause,” according to a Tampa Police Department report…
Arthurs made references “Allah Mohammed” as officers walked him to a patrol car.
Arthur actually led the police to their bodies after he took three people hostage at a nearby smoke shop, during his arrest. He told police that he was angry at the anti-Muslim sentiments of the world. He said, “I had to do it. This wouldn’t have had to happen if your country didn’t bomb my country.”

Both men suffered gunshot wounds, police said. The killings were an isolated incident, spokeswoman Janelle McGregor added.
Arthurs remained in the Hillsborough County jail without bail Monday on two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of aggravated assault and three counts of armed kidnapping.
Arthur was heard screaming, “Do me a favor and get the f— on the ground!” and “Why shouldn’t I kill you?” while he waved a semiautomatic pistol.
A neo-Nazi is a person who relates to a group that believes in Hitler’s Nazi ideas and policies. They are also known to commit acts of violence.
