An Uber driver in Pennsylvania was shot in the back by an intoxicated passenger, Wednesday night.

According to the report, 24-year-old Stefan Edmond Zdanowicz, is being charged with simple assault, reckless endangerment, and criminal mischief.

Police say Zdanowicz was extremely intoxicated, which was why requested an Uber in the first place. While in the back seat, he attempted to transfer a 9mm handgun from one jacket pocket to the other. However, in his drunk state, the idiot accidentally shot the Uber driver instead.

Zdanowicz was legally carry, but that still didn’t stop him from being utterly irresponsible.

The driver was transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest for treatment and was later released.

Zdanowicz was arraigned and released on a $7,500 bail.

One commenter brought up a great point: can Uber now sue this man?

He said, “Based on the those charges I’m guessing he or his family knew someone at the ADA’s office. What a crock of crap. How about assault with a deadly weapon? How about carrying an instrument of crime while intoxicated? I assume Uber can sue the rider as carrying drugs and/or guns is against Uber sign up rules.”

Remember kids: Don’t drink and drive, and don’t be IDIOTS.
