Trump Thought he was Being Accused of Anti-Semitism by Jewish Reporter…Here’s What Happened [VIDEO]

Written by Philip Hodges

During Trump’s first official press conference as President, he was asked about the rise in anti-Semitic attacks in the U.S. by Jake Turx with Ami Magazine. Trump misunderstood the nature of his question and thought that he was being attacked – as he has many times before – of being anti-Semitic and racist. He cut off the reporter and gave his answer. Here’s how their exchange went:

Jake Turx: Despite what some of my colleagues may have been reporting, I haven’t seen anybody in my community accuse either yourself or anyone on your staff of being anti-Semitic. We understand that you have Jewish grandchildren. You are their zayde. [Yiddish for grandfather.]

Trump: Thank you.

Turx: However, what we are concerned about and what we haven’t really heard being addressed is an uptick in anti-Semitism and how the government is planning to take care of it. There’s been a report out that 48 bomb threats have been made against Jewish centers all across the country in the last couple of weeks. There are people committing anti-Semitic acts or threatening to – –

Trump: Not a fair question. Sit down. I understand the rest of your question. So here’s the story, folks. No. 1, I am the least anti-Semitic person that you’ve ever seen in your entire life. No. 2, racism, the least racist person.

Trump went on and appealed to his relationship with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Later, Turx was interviewed on Fox News about their tense exchange. How he reacted to the back-and-forth might surprise you:
