Undeterred by constant failure, Obama speechified, “I firmly believe 2014 can be a breakthrough year.” After all the trouble he has caused us with his failed Affordable Care Act, it is startling to me that he would feign such optimism. Doesn’t he learn anything from his failures? Has he even considered what new problems might erupt as his abortive program unfolds? Shouldn’t he tread cautiously before making new promises that might explode in his face? Has he no shame about disappointing us again?
And now that there is another last minute delay, he is allowing people to sign up for bare-bones “catastrophic” policies. This is almost funny. The reason he cancelled millions of policies was because they couldn’t match the Cadillac inclusivity of Obama care policies. Now, instead of discouraging truncated policies, he is offering ones that are even more limited. He is selling catastrophic policies rather than comprehensive insurance.
And how can Obama predict that 2014 will be “a breakthrough year” when it is coming on the heels of 2013’s failures? Shouldn’t he consider that the failures will compound and the details in thousands of unread pages of his signature act will aggregate into a giant snowball of unthought-of confusion? As the parts roll out, the avalanche quickens.
Who knows what problems lie dormant in his complex, confusing, ponderous health care plan? We are little Hamlets looking into a future of terrible dreams. What comes after Obamacare is fully implemented must, as Hamlet says, “Give us pause.”
The Affordable HealthCare Act is a health plan nightmare orchestrated by a trivial community organizer, who just happens to be President. Due to the Act’s inadequacies we will sooner “shuffle off this mortal coil.”
I left the Democrat party in 2001 for their weakness towards 9/11. If I were a Democrat now, I would certainly leave it because of Obama’s destruction of our health care system. He is a strutting public relations billboard for the Republican Party returning to power.
