Obama has been boasting for years that under the Affordable Health Care Act you get to keep your child on your insurance until that child is 26. He ballyhoos this. Big deal. People under twenty-six generally don’t feel that they need insurance. They are immortal. They don’t buy insurance so why should they look at Obama’s free gift of a non-entity, placebo policy as something special.
Obama raves that under his super duper insurance program, pre-existing conditions are covered. The man just doesn’t understand insurance. For it to work financially you cannot cover pre-existing conditions. It is an oxymoron. You can’t cover an accident or a malady that has already occurred. That is not insurance. That is picking up a guaranteed loss. Insurance is a gamble wherein a company takes on the possibility of losses. That’s how the actuaries establish rates. You cannot establish pricing when you are picking up pre-existing losses.
Joe Wilson yelled out during Obama’s Health Care Speech at the State of the Union address “You lie.” That was prescient. Why doesn’t someone else yell out now, “You are ridiculous. You are embarrassing. You are contradictory and ill-informed. And Joe Wilson is right, you do lie.”
So Obama posits keeping children on their parents’ insurance until 26 and covering pre-existing conditions. The first is unnecessary and the second is against the fundamental principles of insurance and destined for a crash. But all Obama’s little duckies line up on stage behind him at his speeches, quacking support for his ill-thought-out, ideological utopianism. They clap their webbed hands whenever he makes a simple point.
Obama doesn’t mention that instead of premiums being cut $2500 that they will go up and that full time workers will be reduced to part timers. He doesn’t remind you that you will lose your favorable insurance plans and your life-supporting doctors. No, he offers the unnecessary—parental insurance for children up until 26. He promises to bankrupt insurance companies by making them pick up pre-existing losses.
Obama’s got to be kidding. How could Obama brag about this abortion, the Healthcare Program? Oh, that’s right, he was always a fan of abortions. Didn’t he support after-birth abortions in the Chicago senate? Same old. Anything easy. Anything where you don’t have to stand up for moral values. Anything that reeks of welfare. He should have worked for Lyndon Johnson.
Obama excuses the glitches in Obama Care. He never admits that the whole program is a glitch. He says, “I think that any time you’re implementing something big, there is going to be people who are nervous and anxious about is it going to get done until it’s actually done.”
Don’t tell me there’s more “to get done.” Isn’t what’s already been done bad enough? Many of us have already lost our policies and our doctors. If this happened to one American citizen, he would probably be petitioning his congressman. But millions? How, Mr. Obama, can you possibly stand up for your program with a straight face? And your little duckies all in a row? And the paid idiots, unionizers, standing up there on the stage with you.
As usual, Obama lies, “For the 85 to 90 percent of Americans who already have health insurance, this thing’s already happened, and their only impact is that their insurance is stronger, better, more secure than it was before….Now they don’t have to worry about anything else.”
Except policy cancellations, loss of doctors, longer waiting times, increased premiums, an increased national deficit, higher taxes, less R & D, changes to Medicare and Medicaid and a general bureaucratic malaise where we move from excellence to mediocrity.
Obama pretends that there are glitches and that “that’s pretty much true of every government program that’s ever been set up.” That’s also true of every Marxist government program that’s been set up in Russia, China, Vietnam, Cuba, Cambodia, Venezuela, etc.
Would you want to go to Cambodia for a cancer operation? If Obama were less interested in being a dictator than in your actual health, we wouldn’t be countenancing this stupid Affordable Health Care.
No disrespect. Well, yes, disrespect. Obama is a clown. I can see why Kramer on “Seinfeld” was afraid of clowns. They amuse you while they destroy you and tell you that you are laughing at your own demise for your own good.
