What We’re Reading June 27, 2016

Written by Onan Coca

We hope you’re having a great day wherever you are and that the news we dig up for you this morning helps you navigate the day more efficiently!

It’s a busy world out there, and you don’t have a ton of free time to be doing Internet searches for the most important items of the day… lucky for you, we do. We drink gallons of coffee in an effort to stay awake long enough to scour the far reaches of the world wide web in an effort to bring you the most important, useful and useless information every single day.

You’re welcome.

So without further ado, here’s what we’re reading, Monday, June 27, 2016.

The UK’s revolt against the European Union and their decision to leave the EU casts a long shadow over Hillary Clinton’s campaign. Britain’s “forgotten” voters won this referendum for the “Leave” campaign; will they do the same in the USA come November?

Don’t buy the liberal media hype about Brexit regrets… Only 1% of “Leave” voters in the UK regret their vote.

Why did Britain leave the EU? Establishment Republican talking head, David Frum, takes a stab at the rationale.

Remember when Donald Trump was a transnationalist who believed we needed one global currency? No? It was in 2013 and 2014. “We will have to leave borders behind and go for global unity when it comes to financial stability… The future of Europe, as well as the United States, depends on a cohesive global economy.” Trump declared. “All of us must work toward together toward that very significant common goal.”

The EU is finished, and while the UK has staved off imminent decline, they still have a lot of work to do.

Yikes. The polls are starting to look really bleak. Hillary Clinton is building a big lead. The RNC has finally gone “all in” for Donald Trump and is doing their best to keep any #NeverTrump delegates from acting out at the Republican National Convention.

Donald Trump is clarifying his position on Muslim migration to the United States. The GOP candidate for President is making it clear that his plan WILL NOT include mass deportations, and Muslims will be allowed to come to the USA… as long as they are not from “terrorist” countries.

The wife of the Governor of Maine just got herself a part-time summer job waiting tables at a local Boothbay Harbor restaurant.
