A migrant stranded at a Greek port threatened to throw a baby at police during violent demonstrations.
Police attempted to bus migrants away from Port of Piraeus to new locations across the country. The migrants violently resisted the relocation, and a minor riot broke out.
A video of the riots posted Wednesday shows one man holding a baby up in the air, appearing as if he will throw the child at police.
The baby was safely brought back to her mother without injuries. It’s unclear what the relationship between the man and the baby is, and how he got his hands on her.
Thousands of migrants are currently stuck in Greece after Macedonia closed the Balkan route in February. Thousands of migrants are awaiting deportations to Turkey as part of an agreement between the European Union and Turkey. (RELATED: Greece Begins Mass Deportations Of Economic Migrants)
