What We're Reading Eagle Rising

We hope you’re having a great day wherever you are and that the news we dig up for you this morning helps you navigate the day more efficiently!

It’s a busy world out there, and you don’t have a ton of free time to be doing Internet searches for the most important items of the day… lucky for you, we do. We drink gallons of coffee in an effort to stay awake long enough to scour the far reaches of the world wide web in an effort to bring you the most important, useful and useless information every single day.

You’re welcome.

So without further ado, here’s what we’re reading, Monday, March 27, 2016.

Don’t listen to the liberal fantasies about “Bernie” Bernard Sanders (I-VT); the truth is that he’s not Robin Hood in our story… he’s Greedy King John.

Conservatives in Congress are finally moving forward with plans to end the Bureau of Land Management’s (BLM) ability to mess with the American people. The legislation would,“terminate the law enforcement functions of the Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management and to provide block grants to States for the enforcement of Federal law on Federal land under the jurisdiction of these agencies, and for other purposes.”

Sadly, this past week ISIS followed through with their evil threats and murdered a Catholic priest that they’d taken captive last month. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and loved ones.
Witness for Church and Pope also has the story based on the Salzburg report:

Austrian media is reporting that Cardinal Schönborn of Vienna confirmed last night, during the Easter Vigil at Stephansdom that the Salesian priest, Fr. Thomas Uzhunnalil was crucified by ISIS on Good Friday. Polonia Christiana is also carrying the news, based on the Austrian reports.

One GOP Senator thinks it’s really weird that Donald Trump brags about his many affairs.

The citizens of Idaho can now legally carry firearms without a permit. Governor Butch Otter signed a bill to reaffirm a citizen’s Constitutional rights to carry throughout the state.

In the wake of the Muslim terrorist attack on Pakistan, Senator Ted Cruz argued that we must redouble our efforts in the fight against radical Islam.

“The evil that is radical Islamism struck in Pakistan today–the very day we celebrate the resurrection of the Prince of Peace–in a shocking display of savagery,” said Cruz. “Once again we are reminded there are no holidays from this enemy, and no one–not commuters going to work in Brussels, not mothers and children celebrating Easter in a park in Lahore–are immune from its wrath. We must redouble our resolve to band with friends and allies to defeat it. Our prayers are with our brothers and sisters in Pakistan.”

Islam isn’t that bad… said no one ever.
