Could it be true?
As the editor and main writer for a conservative website, I happen to get a lot of emails about various political subjects. From liberals, I usually get hate mail that calls me mean names and insults my intelligence. The recurring theme from conservatives is quite different.
Conservatives usually write to complain that all we do is talk about these things and no one ever actually does anything.
I tend to disagree with that assessment. In 2009-2010 people were talking and complaining loud enough that the Tea Party was born and the politicians began listening to us. We, not the GOP, derailed Obama’s first term – even if we failed to stop Obamacare. It’s been our constant pestering of the liberal media that has led to so much coverage of all of President Obama’s many scandals. If they had their choice, the liberal media would have let the President slide on as much of it as possible, but they can’t when it’s so obvious that the American people are angry.
When folks write me asking me (or telling me) to stop talking and start doing something, I try not to get offended. See, I am doing something. I write on this website every day, and I report the news no matter how ugly it gets. I try to educate people on conservative issues while showing the foolishness of liberalism in all its glory. I try to stoke the fires of activism – my chief goal is to encourage all of you to get involved and stay involved, because that is how we can change things. Thankfully, today I can report that something may finally be happening…
It seems as though the House GOP may finally be pushing to impeach Attorney General Eric Holder. Eric Holder has become the punching bag of the administration for many conservatives, but he’s brought most of that attention on himself. Eric Holder may very well be the most corrupt Attorney General we’ve had in a long time. Remember folks, the Democrats tried to impeach Attorney General Alberto Gonzales a few years back for issues that pale in comparison to the things that Eric Holder has assuredly done. The New Black Panther Voter suppression scandal, Fast and Furious, Gun Walker, Grenade Walker, the AP phone sweep scandal, the Fox News/James Rosen scandal, and more…
The impeachment resolution, a memo of which was provided to CNN, also accuses Holder of lying under oath before Congress in May, when he told lawmakers he had never been involved of any "potential prosecution of the press."
However, it was later reported he signed off on the Justice Department's decision to seek a search warrant in 2010 for Fox News reporter James Rosen's private e-mails as part of a leak probe.
"This was not a decision that I made lightly," Olson said in a statement. "The American people deserve answers and accountability. If the Attorney General refuses to provide answers, then Congress must take action."
This comes on the heels of House Majority Leader John Boehner’s (R-OH) recent call for Eric Holder to resign because of his horrendous performance. However, the House GOP leadership does not seem to be joining in these impeachment efforts, which seems to be a signal that impeachment is a longshot. At least we know there are still some Republicans who will fight for us…
