We hope you’re having a great day wherever you are and that the news we dig up for you this morning helps you navigate the day more efficiently!
It’s a busy world out there, and you don’t have a ton of free time to be doing Internet searches for the most important items of the day… lucky for you, we do. We drink gallons of coffee in an effort to stay awake long enough to scour the far reaches of the world wide web in an effort to bring you the most important, useful and useless information every single day.
So without further ado, here’s what we’re reading, Monday, January 11, 2016.
Of course it’s Obama’s fault. Political experts around the world are blaming Obama for North Korea’s recent acquisition of nuclear weapons.
Donald Trump really likes Pat Buchanan and is even calling the former presidential candidate a “visionary.” This is quite the turnaround, considering Trump once called Buchanan a Hitler-loving Neo-Nazi.
To go along with Trump’s recent embrace of Buchanan comes news that the family of former Alabama Governor George Wallace (D-AL) believes that Trump is continuing their late patriarch’s legacy. And no, not in a good way.
The Ted Cruz (R-TX) surge is real, and it continues to build as the candidate’s poll numbers continue to improve with each passing day.
That doesn’t mean that Cruz should be comfortable with his position as things are neck-and-neck in Iowa. In fact, on the Democrat side, things are even tighter in Iowa and New Hampshire.
Texans have been allowed to open-carry since January 1st but it hasn’t caused any new problems for the local police.
Dallas police say they have received zero 911 calls concerning open carry since the new law went into effect Jan. 1. In fact, several police officers told NBC 5 Thursday they haven’t even seen anybody openly carrying their firearms.
Donald Trump often bellows and blusters in regard to China, but the simple fact is that, when pressed on specifics, he seems to have little-to-no idea what he is talking about.
Marco Rubio (R-FL) is running out of options in Iowa. Though he did just reel in another endorsement – this one from Oklahoma’s senior Senator Jim Inhofe (R-OK).
