Russian President Vladimir Putin just gave the speech that many in America had hoped to hear from President Obama.
Last month a Russian passenger plane fell from the sky after a bomb was detonated on board as it flew over the Sinai Peninsula. A few days ago bombs and bullets wreaked havoc across the beautiful city of Paris, and on Tuesday night police likely saved hundreds of lives when they discovered and disabled an ambulance full of explosives in Hannover, Germany.
What is the one thing that these three violent terrorist attacks had in common? A connection to ISIS.
Just this week Russia was finally able to confirm that their plane had been blown apart by a bomb in a terrorist attack perpetrated by ISIS. While President Obama chose to get annoyed and deflect criticism in a speech on the recent uptick in terrorism that he gave while in Turkey, President Putin instead directed his ire at ISIS and other Muslim terrorists committing violent acts around the world.
Speaking of the Russian plane bombing Putin said, “We can unequivocally say it was a terrorist act.”
Putin continued by warning the terrorists, saying Russia will “find them anywhere on the planet and punish them.” Putin also promised that Russia would be relentless in their search for the terrorists, “We should not apply any time limits. We should know them all by name.”
“It is not the first time that Russia confronts barbaric terrorist crimes. We will search for them anywhere they are hiding. We will find them anywhere on the planet and punish them. The murder of our people in Sinai is among the bloodiest crimes in terms of victims. We will not wipe away the tears from our soul and hearts. This will stay with us forever but will not stop us finding and punishing the criminals.”
That was the speech that Barack Obama should have given in Turkey.
