“Every US government prior to President Obama would have foresworn nuclear talks with such a psychopathic [Iranian] regime or would have walked out in a rage upon such utterances [as “Death to Israel!”] Yet Iran’s genocidal threats have had no discernible effect on Obama’s canine eagerness for a deal. It’s as if 75 years ago a US president had cheerfully engaged in peace talks with Hitler and his SS entourage despite learning the details of the Nazis’ secret Wannsee Conference where Hitler signed off on the Final Solution for the Jews.” —John Bosma, in American Thinker, August 23, 2015
The Iran Deal’s Anti-Israel Provision
A particularly heinous part of the Iran Deal is entitled “Nuclear Safety, Safeguards and Security,” which pledges America and the West to the training of Iran in countermeasures against any attempts at sabotage to its nuclear installations. Iran will be taught how to secure its nuclear program from all threats, which would include any methods known to be utilized by the State of Israel.
This training will be a “co-operation in the form of training courses and workshops to strengthen Iran’s ability to prevent, protect and respond to nuclear security threats to nuclear facilities and systems as well as to enable effective and sustainable nuclear security and physical protection systems.” The agreement also guarantees “co-operation through training and workshops to strengthen Iran’s ability to protect against and respond to nuclear security threats, including sabotage.” This provision was written primarily with an eye to discouraging Israeli strikes against Iran’s nuclear program. Obama’s Betrayal of Israel
In early August 2014, the Congress passed, and Obama signed, a $225 billion appropriations bill to help Israel keep its Iron Dome missile-defense system operational. The Senate vote was unanimous, and the House voted 395 to 8 to approve the deal. Obama only signed because a veto-proof majority had supported the legislation. Weeks before the Israeli aid package was passed, however, President Obama had acted to undermine Israel’s Defense by sending Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel, on July 14, 2014, to Qatar—a Hamas arms supplier—to deliver $11 billion in advanced weaponry for use against Israel.
Boxing Israel In: Obama Disables Israel’s Conventional Military Options
In June, 2010, Obama disclosed that Israel planned to use Saudi airspace to carry out a military action to destroy Iran’s nuclear program. This Saudi-Israeli alliance was revealed in the London Times, citing “US defense sources.”
In February of 2012, Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta outed Israel’s plan for a spring attack on Iran. This leak removed any element of surprise Israel might have enjoyed, effectively canceling the attack.
On June 4, 2013, the US Defense Department leaked 1,000 pages of an Israeli defense system whose success depends on invisibility—a great blow to Israel, because the Arrow 3 is designed to seek and destroy the Iranian Shihab 3 and other long-range missiles.
Foreign Policy Magazine reported—citing an anonymous source in the US Defense Department—that Israel planned to use an air base in Azerbaijan to strike Iran. The Christian Science Monitor asked, “Did the US just torpedo Israeli deal for a base in Azerbaijan?” and wondered whether the US was Israel’s “best friend” anymore. (Read more here.)
And, in November 2014, Obama threatened to shoot down Israeli warplanes, if they carried out plans to bomb Iran’s nukes (from Breitbart). It is possible that, by doing this, Obama shut the final window of opportunity Israel had to destroy Iran’s nuclear program with conventional weapons.
It Gets Worse
Given the more hardened state of Iran’s nuclear facilities today—ten months after Obama’s martial threat against the Jewish State—Israel’s only chance to defend itself against a Second Holocaust may well be to employ nuclear bombs. With help from the White House not forthcoming, Israel is out of conventional options. And it is not even clear whether American bunker-buster bombs would still achieve the desired effect, since, according to military expert John Bosma, “Iranian engineers have perfected the world’s toughest concrete, developing mixtures using geopolymers, quartz powders (called fume) and metal and ceramic fibers. The result is hardness levels . . . [that] can resist destruction by the US’s most lethal hard-target bomb: the 30,000-lb ‘Massive Ordnance Penetrator.’ ” (Read more here.)
Facing Another Six-Million-Jew Holocaust, Will Israel Use Nukes?
John Bosma speculates that, if Israel felt compelled to unleash its nuclear weapons, it would probably choose a shock-and-awe attack lasting under two hours. The targets would be the underground enrichment plants, the Arak plutonium reactor, and areas where nuclear scientists and technicians congregate. Oil production facilities and state administrative sites might also be targeted.
Perhaps the opening salvo would be an Electro-Magnetic Pulse (EMP), in order to disable power grids, electrical machinery, and other electronic devices. This would limit retaliatory capabilities on the part of Iran. The next round of attacks would likely involve nuclear weapons with a power of somewhere between 10 and 300 kilotons. To quote Bosma, “[W]hat is poorly appreciated is that nuclear weapons from 10 to 300 kilotons (KT)—depending on accuracy—can destroy deep hard targets to 200+ meters depth by ground coupling if they penetrate merely 3 meters into the ground (Effects of Nuclear Earth Penetrators and Other Weapons: National Research Council/National Academy Press, 2005, pp. 30-51).” (Read a detailed analysis here.)
A Dangerous Irony
It is a deeply dangerous irony that—by spoiling Israel’s past attack plans and foreclosing all future conventional military options—President Obama might have guaranteed the first nuclear attack, by one country upon another, in 70 years! Israel knows that it must strike pre-emptively or face certain annihilation by Iran’s Islamo-Nazi regime. But knowing the depth of President Obama’s disdain for the State of Israel, and the fact that he, too, wields the power of a nuclear arsenal, the only serious question in the mind of Bibi Netanyahu has to one with potentially dangerous repercussions: What might Barack Hussein Obama do in response?
