What We’re Reading March 30, 2015
We hope you’re having a great day wherever you are and that the news we dig up for you this morning helps you navigate the day more efficiently!
It’s a busy world out there, and you don’t have a ton of free time to be doing Internet searches for the most important items of the day… lucky for you, we do. We drink gallons of coffee in an effort to stay awake long enough to scour the far reaches of the world wide web in an effort to bring you the most important, useful and useless information every single day.
So without further ado, here’s what we’re reading Monday, March 30, 2015.
Marco Rubio (R-FL) may have a BIG announcement coming soon. Word is that the Rubio camp has booked Miami’s Freedom Tower (think Ellis Island for Cuban immigrants) for an April 13th event! The Freedom Tower holds major significance for the entire Cuban-American community and could be an excellent place for the Senator to kick off his Presidential campaign, if that is indeed what he has in mind.
Libertarian and Reason TV host Nick Gillespie has an excellent article up on Reason’s website explaining that Chuck Schumer (D-NY) is one of the most trivial politicians in our nation’s history… and he also happens to be the next Senate minority leader. Hereby proving that the Democrat Party has utterly collapsed.
The Bowe Bergdahl fiasco is the prototypical Obama administration clusterfark. It is the exact kind of thing that the Obama team has become famous for and will likely be what history remembers the Obama administration as being… clueless, inept, stupid and consequential for all the wrong reasons!
In much the same way, there really is no “method” to President Obama’s Mideast Madness. Team Obama has no idea what is going on in the Middle East, they are constantly surprised and continually playing defense when it comes to the problems happening in the Muslim World.
One out of eight illegal immigrant workers now has a “white-collar” job. So much for the argument that illegal’s only do the jobs Americans won’t do. I wonder what white-collar jobs Americans now find so offensive and beneath their dignity? Tax preparation perhaps? Secretarial work? Accounting?
Hillary Clinton’s supporters are watching you (and everyone else) to make sure no one is saying anything mean, rude or true about Hillary Clinton!
The email sent on behalf of Hillary Rodham Clinton showed up in the inbox of a female New York Times correspondent Thursday, along with a preemptive threat: “You are on notice that we will be watching, reading, listening and protesting coded sexism,” read the missive from “HRC Super Volunteers.”
Then came the list of words and phrases constituting “coded sexism,” at least to HRC Super Volunteers: “polarizing,” “calculating,” “disingenuous,” “insincere,” “ambitious,” “inevitable,” “entitled” and “over-confident.” Nearly doubling George Carlin’s list of “7 Dirty Words,” Clinton’s loyalists added “secretive” and “will do anything to win,” “represents the past,” “out of touch” and “tone deaf.”
