What We’re Reading September 6, 2013

We hope you’re having a great day wherever you are and that the news we dig up for you this morning helps you navigate the day more efficiently!

It’s a busy world out there, and you don’t have a ton of free time to be doing Internet searches for the most important items of the day… lucky for you, we do. We drink gallons of coffee in an effort to stay awake long enough to scour the far reaches of the world wide web in an effort to bring you the most important, useful and useless information every single day.

You’re welcome.

So without further ado, here’s what we’re reading Friday September 6, 2013.

The good folks at Red State try to figure out why the GOP leadership is going along with President Obama on the war with Syria. Their answer makes Republican leaders look pretty stupid… so it’s probably right. Yikes.

Pat Buchanan has some harsh words for this administration. In his opinion piece he says, “U.S. soldiers, sailors, Marines and airmen as the mercenaries of sheikhs, sultans and emirs, Hessians of the New World Order, hired out to do the big-time killing for Saudi and Sunni royals?” Ouch.

Congressional approval for war in Syria looks like a longshot for the Obama administration. Does this mean he will decide on his own to send our troops into battle? That unprecedented move could trigger a huge shockwave through the nation.

The New Republic attacks Rand Paul for caring about Syrian Christians.

despotThousands are feared dead in North Korea after the closing of one of many of that nation’s prison camps.

A new non-discrimination bill in San Antonio, Texas may actually be a license to discriminate against Christians.

New Mexico will likely see the worst rate increases in the country due to Obamacare… their projected rate hike is 130%.

Parents who home school worry that common core may become a burden on their activities.

Pat Sajak has some fun at President Obama’s expense… very funny.

You may have heard the rumors… but they’re not true. Jack Nicholson is not retiring.

Star Wars was almost very different. Kind of.
