Sheriff David Clarke says the “War on Police” is Fueled by Anti-Cop Rhetoric

On the heels of the terrible shooting of two more police officers in Ferguson, Missouri, Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke appeared on Fox News with Neil Cavuto to discuss the “War on Police.”

Clarke obviously believes that the violence being faced by our police officers on the streets of America is in large part due to the race baiting, anti-cop cottage industry that has arisen in our nation. Men like Eric Holder, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and others have turned our police officers into the bad guy, which simply means that cops face a very dangerous America today.

Well, this war on our nation’s finest, the American police officer, continues, but it continues to be fueled by some very important people. It’s empty rhetoric for what Eric Holder offered today and the president through a tweet of all things, when they have now an obligation to stand up and remind people in these urban ghettos and these American ghettos, they have a responsibility to comply with law enforcement officers’ commands…

If we want to end deadly encounters between police and citizens, we have to tell these young black men to stop attacking the police, stop fighting, stop resisting police when they’re trying to pull you over and cooperate with their lawful commands. If they have complaints about the way they’re treat, some of these may be justified. There’s a process for that. The fact that Eric Holder released this report last week — by the way it was a junk report. There was no objectivity. He cherry picked a few e-mail and misapplied and using misapplication of statistics.
