We hope you’re having a great day wherever you are and that the news we dig up for you this morning helps you navigate the day more efficiently!
It’s a busy world out there, and you don’t have a ton of free time to be doing Internet searches for the most important items of the day… lucky for you, we do. We drink gallons of coffee in an effort to stay awake long enough to scour the far reaches of the world wide web in an effort to bring you the most important, useful and useless information every single day.
So without further ado, here’s what we’re reading Thursday, March 12, 2015.
Hillary Clinton was trying to be helpful to her likely GOP opponents when she offered them this bit of advice…
<blockquote class=”twitter-tweet” lang=”en”><p>GOP letter to Iranian clerics undermines American leadership. No one considering running for commander-in-chief should be signing on.</p>— Hillary Clinton (@HillaryClinton) <a href=”https://twitter.com/HillaryClinton/status/575735894386216960″>March 11, 2015</a></blockquote>

I wonder if she would say the same thing to Joe Biden about the letter he sent President Reagan in 1989– or the one he sent President Bush in 2008?
Not to worry though, it seems that the GOP contenders don’t really care about Mrs. Clinton’s advice and will think for themselves on issues involving Iran and the President’s failed attempts at diplomacy.
Erick Erickson reminds us of the time House Democrats sent a letter to a communist dictator undermining a Republican President’s efforts to negotiate with that country. The media didn’t really seem to care back then… I wonder what’s changed? (He said sarcastically…)
Hillary’s central defense to her email scandal has one HUGE glaring problem…
So in other words, her defense is dependent on her subordinates following proper protocol by using their work email accounts. But, if others in the department followed her lead, they would have been using private email for the sake of “convenience.” And if that were the case, Clinton wouldn’t have “.gov” accounts to email and those emails wouldn’t have been archived by the department. Put another way, her defense is contingent on others acting differently than she did. The implicit suggestion is that using government email addresses was the right thing to do.
Thus, one of the key defenses she’s offered isn’t much of a defense…
GOP Presidential contenders Bobby Jindal and Jeb Bush are at odds over the Common Core, and Jindal is taking every chance he can to remind voters about it!
The Daily Caller wonders why it is that the pleasant and seemingly nice Jeb Bush seems to be so very unpopular?
The government expects a big surge of illegal immigration over the coming summer.
