In an interview on CBN recently, evangelist Franklin Graham told Gordon Robertson that he believes Barack Obama is opening up the door for persecution of Christians in the United States because of his sympathies towards the religion of pieces, Islam.
“We’re going to see persecution in this country because our president is very sympathetic to Islam and the reason I say that is because his father was a Muslim, gave him a Muslim name, Barack Hussein Obama,” said Graham, head of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and the Christian relief agency Samaritan’s Purse.
“His mother married another Muslim man, they moved to Indonesia, he went to Indonesian schools,” he added. “So, growing up his frame of reference and his influence as a young man was Islam. It wasn’t Christianity, it was Islam.”
Graham then pointed out how Obama has not just entertained America’s Islamic enemies in the White House, but even installed them in key positions to help determine both foreign and domestic policy.
“There are Muslims that have access to him in the White House,” said Graham. “Our foreign policy has a lot of influence now, from Muslims. We see the Prime Minister of Israel being snubbed by the President and by the White House and by the Democrats and it’s because of the influence of Islam. They hate Israel and they hate Christians, and so the storm is coming I believe.”
However, Graham rightly pointed out that this did not begin with Obama.
“After 9-11 the Bush Administration began to allow Muslims to come into various governmental agencies to advise us how to respond to Muslims and how to respond to Islam,” Graham said.
“What’s happened is you now have radical Islamists who are advising various levels of government and it’s going to get worse and nobody seems to be alarmed about it,” Graham noted. “Nobody is saying anything about this and we, as Christians, are going to lose.”
It should be clear to anyone that is paying attention that Barack Obama does not love America and that he is the domestic enemy in the White House that the people face. His policies have always been for the benefit of Islam over and beyond Christianity.
As I’ve pointed out before, his claims of being a Christian are utterly destroyed by the rotten fruit that hangs from the branches of his tree. Even his doctrine is suspect and no one that I know would extend the right hand of Christian fellowship to him simply on those grounds.
While Graham is right about the narrative of Obama, his alleged mother, and his identity as a Muslim, I reject the idea that Christians are going to lose. I recognize that there is a context, but the Scriptures are clear that it is God who fights on behalf of His people (1 Sam. 17:47)? Yet, today, many “last days crazed Christians” believe God will fight for a geo-political nation calling itself Israel, than they do God fighting on behalf of those who are the children of Abraham by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Israel of God (Gal. 3:1-9; 14-18; 6:16; Eph. 2:12-22). King Jesus is still ruling and reigning with all authority in heaven and on earth (Matt. 28:19-20; 1 Cor. 15:25). So, why are Christians talking about “doom and gloom”? Why are they talking about “defeat” and “losing”? Are we not overcomers with King Jesus?
Perhaps the reason that so many speak of defeat is because they don’t actually believe Christ is King and that the kingdoms of this world are His (Rev. 11:15). Perhaps they are unwilling to teach the nations all things that Christ commanded (Matt. 28:20), and no, that is not “God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life.”
Christians are to preach the gospel (Mark 16:15; Acts 2; 4; 7; 1 Cor. 15), but they are to teach the law of God too, in order that all that Christ taught might be known unto the nations and that they might practice them.
Obama has opened the gates of Hell. That’s for sure, but my God says, “The Gates of Hell shall not prevail against the Church of Jesus Christ.”
