Democrat Civil War? DNC Chair Planned to Paint Obama as ‘Sexist’ and ‘Anti-Semitic’

In a stunning report news of an apparent rift within the Democrat Party has come to light in a pretty grotesque way. Apparently, Democrat National Committee chief Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) was on the hot seat back in 2013 and was in danger of being fired by President Obama. Worrying what being fired might do to her political career Wasserman Schultz began planning and working to paint President Obama as an “Anti-Semitic” and “Sexist” leader if he dared to remove her from office.

President Obama didn’t fire her but the rift between the two camps still remains… it also should be very telling about the lengths that Democrats will go to to keep their hands on the reins of power. It’s terrifying and disgusting, all at once.

Democratic Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz was prepared to publicly accuse President Barack Obama of being anti-Semitic and anti-woman if he removed her as chair of the Democratic National Committee in 2013.

Wasserman Schultz reportedly has a terrible relationship with the White House, and rarely speaks with the president. When she sensed he might oust her from her party leadership position in 2013, she lined up supporters to suggest the move would be anti-semitic (she’s Jewish) and sexist, reported Politico.

The line was buried in a piece about her uncertain political future. Obama never did replace her, and she has two years left in her current term as DNC chair, but her party leaders reportedly don’t trust her to put the goals of the party above her own ambitions. (RELATED: Dems Don’t Believe In Debbie Wasserman Schultz)

She’s unlikely to stay on as DNC chair, and House leadership positions are unlikely to open up anytime soon. But she’s considering a 2016 run for Republican Marco Rubio’s senate seat.

Dems were not happy when she compared Republican Gov. Scott Walker’s policies to physical abuse during his tough campaign last year, saying he “has given women the back of his hand.” Last week, she got in trouble for offering to reverse her position on marijuana for a donor if he retracted his criticism of her. (RELATED: Attorney Declines Debbie Wasserman Schultz Medical Pot Offer)

“It’s not like other Democrats will say, ‘Oh she’s running, I better not run,’” Democratic consultant James Carville told Politico. She has not brought up plans to run with the Democratic Senate Campaign Committee.
