Sarah Palin Calls for a Constitutional Convention!

Former Alaska Governor and grassroots conservative darling, Sarah Palin, took to Facebook this past week to urge her followers to push their lawmakers to say yes to a Convention of the States. Particularly, she is asking everyone to contact certain Virginia lawmakers who will be voting on a Convention of the States measure soon.

Instead of just talking about our need for a balanced budget while powerful politicians ignore the will of the people and dig us trillions of dollars more into debt, we have a way to force DC to listen. A provision within the Constitution gives states the power to call a convention for the purpose of proposing amendments to the Constitution – like a balanced budget amendment.

Check out this video to learn more about how this process works. Three states have already passed legislation calling for a Convention of States. Now it’s Virginia’s turn!

Please check out this blog post and take time TODAY to contact the Virginia lawmakers listed in the post and ask them to vote YES on the Convention of the States legislation in Virginia (SJ 269 and HJ 497):
