Political Cartoons Race

Racism Here, Racism There, Racism Everywhere – the Motto of Al Sharpton

You, like me, probably feel better just knowing that Rev, “The Rat” Sharpton is looking out for racism everywhere. This is his purpose in life… in addition to annoying the rest of us. Now he has detected racism in the Oscar nominations.  Who knew?

Ironically, there is probably no outfit in the world more sensitive to politically correct phony protocols. But The Rat caught ’em. (In case you’re wondering about the nickname… it was earned a few decades ago when the Reverend worked as a snitch for the F.B.I.) Since he seems to like observing and informing on people … maybe the Feds should just hire him.  In fact, maybe he’s still on the payroll from those years before.

Being a federal snitch may explain how he’s earned his bread all these years. Many have wondered for a long time about how he (and the Reverend Jesse Jackson) made their livings since they don’t ever seem to have been attached to any church or spiritually oriented outfit. I read long ago that Rev. Jesse did pretty well by extorting money (donations) from big corporations in exchange for not exposing the corporations as racist (regardless of the actual racial makeup of those corporations… as with most liberals … the actual facts were irrelevant). You’ve probably heard of people who make their livings by filing frivolous lawsuits. Such lawsuits have a certain “nuisance value.” The settlement value of such lawsuits increases dramatically when the defendant is a big corporation.  The value increases even more when the corporation is sensitive about being smeared by a willing Media as being politically incorrect. Naturally, if the smear happens to explode on a light news day …the value of the suit goes up even more.

It seems a dubious way to make money, but if The Rat truly owes the I.R.S. 4.5 million in taxes, maybe it’s lucrative.  Creepy… but lucrative…

I am an attorney in Las Vegas who has always wanted to draw political cartoons, partly because I like drawing, but mostly because I enjoy ridiculing pompous know-nothings. Verbally debating them gets nowhere. They don't know they're beaten. But poking fun at them in a drawing leaves them without recourse or rebuttal. What can they do...? Call me names, whine, cuss me ... or maybe draw a witty riposte? Unlikely.
